So…why Elle & Ink?

Like many creative businesses, this one started with something personal.

When I began planning my own wedding, I discovered just how much I loved the world of wedding stationery. It wasn’t just about invitations—it was about creating the very first glimpse of the day to come. For me it was about the finer details. The paper choices, typography, colours and the tiny finishing touches that were carried all the way through to the day of our wedding.

It was about combining my love of printmaking and graphic design, so that I could make our own handmade invitations.

Every design detail that ‘Mr B’ and I put into our wedding planning tells part of our story, and this is what I want to help other couple’s achieve.

That creative process quickly became something I couldn’t stop thinking about, and when a friend of mine got engaged, I put myself forward to help her with her wedding invitations. Before long, Elle & Ink began to take shape in my mind and here I am. She’s become one of my biggest cheerleaders and encouraging me every step of the way to do this. And, the exciting part is that the wedding hasn’t even happened yet!

Why I’m documenting the journey

I could have waited until everything was perfect before launching this website.

Until every page was finished. Until every product was photographed. Until my branding never changed again. But I realised something…

Businesses don’t really grow like that. They evolve.

And I think there’s something quite special about sharing that process honestly. So this journal is exactly that—a place to document the real journey of building Elle & Ink from the ground up. There will be exciting moments, challenges, ideas that work and ones that don’t, and lots of lessons along the way.

A little about me

By day, I balance a full-time job while building Elle & Ink around it.

I’m constantly learning and developing my creative skills, exploring new techniques and finding inspiration in the world around me. Every new project teaches me something, and those lessons will find their way into the stationery I create.

It’s busy.

Sometimes a little chaotic.

But I genuinely love every part of the creative process, and I’m excited to see how those experiences shape the stationery I create.
