It’s been a little while since I’ve posted.

Not because I’ve stopped creating — quite the opposite, actually. I’ve been spending a lot of time behind the scenes, working on something that I’ve been thinking about for quite a while.

My signature collection is slowly starting to take shape, bringing together the woodland-inspired designs, illustrations and ideas that have become such a big part of Elle & Ink.

And I’m really excited about it.

I thought I’d share a little glimpse of what I’ve been working on, before I’m ready to share the finished collection with you.

Bringing it all together

One of the things I’ve loved most about developing Elle & Ink has been discovering what my own style actually looks like.

When I first started, I had lots of ideas about the kind of stationery I wanted to create. But the more I experimented, the more I found myself coming back to the same things — woodland settings, botanical illustrations, beautiful paper, natural colours and those little details that make something feel personal.

So rather than starting from scratch again and again, I wanted to bring those ideas together.

That’s where the signature collection came from.

A little bit of woodland magic

The collection is inspired by the places and details I naturally find myself drawn to.

Think woodland walks, botanical sketches, soft neutral colours, textured papers, handwritten details and just a little bit of magic.

I want the designs to feel natural and timeless, but still have plenty of personality.

Most importantly, I want them to feel like something you could make your own.

Because although I’m designing the collection, the weddings they become part of will always belong to the couples choosing them.

The bit I’m working on now

At the moment, there are sketches scattered across my desk, colour palettes being tweaked, illustrations being refined and far too many little pieces of paper lying around.

I’m slowly working out how all of these individual elements fit together.

There have been plenty of moments where I’ve changed my mind, started something again or wondered whether an idea was quite right.

But I think that’s part of the fun.

It’s still very much a work in progress — and honestly, I quite like it that way.

Why a signature collection

I’ve always wanted Elle & Ink to feel personal.

Not just another stationery shop where you choose a design from a list, but somewhere you can find something beautiful and then make it feel like yours.

  • The signature collection is my way of creating a starting point.
  • A collection of designs that reflect the things I love, while still leaving room for your story, your colours, your venue and all the little details that make your wedding yours.

Looking ahead

There’s still a way to go before I’m ready to reveal everything.

There are designs to finish, stationery to create, photographs to take and quite a few decisions still to make!

But seeing everything slowly come together has been one of my favourite parts of building Elle & Ink so far.

So, for now, I’m keeping some of it under wraps.

But hopefully not for too much longer…

Something new is taking root. 🌿

Before I go…

This week I’m… Getting stuck into my signature collection.

Inspired by: Woodland walks, natural textures, botanical illustrations and beautiful old storybooks.

Currently learning: How to slow down and take my time with the finer details.

Currently helping me get stuff done: Just the simple enjoyment of what I’m creating.

Playlist on repeat: It’s a bit of Maximo Park this week.

Next on my agenda: Finishing the collection and getting it ready for print so that I can start to photograph the first pieces.

See you in the next journal entry
